One practitioner, one appointment at a time.
I have been a practising foot health practitioner for over 16 years, having graduated from the SMAE Institute in 2010, the UK’s leading and longest established foot health college, linked with Queen Margaret University Edinburgh.
Recently I opened a small private foot health clinic in Nuneaton. Appointments are unhurried and advice is honest and straightforward. There is no busy waiting room full of strangers, just a calm space where you can feel at ease.
I take pride in my knowledge and understanding of foot health. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing patients leave free from pain or discomfort, their treatment complete.
Learning is continuous, so I frequently attend additional training, including CPD throughout the year, and refresh my first-aid training every three years so I can always offer the best possible care.
The clinic is accessible and disability friendly.

Questions people ask.
Straight answers to the things patients most often ring about. Anything else, just ask.
Not quite. “Chiropodist” and “podiatrist” are protected titles for HCPC-registered podiatrists, who can also carry out surgery and prescribe medicines. A foot health practitioner is trained in routine, non-surgical foot care: nail cutting, corns and hard skin, thickened and fungal nails, ingrowing toenails, verrucae and diabetic foot checks. That is the everyday care most people are looking for when they search for a chiropodist. Julie trained at the SMAE Institute, holds the Diploma in Foot Health Practice, and will tell you plainly if something needs your GP or a podiatrist instead.
